Our air freight activities are managed from our strategically located offices directly at Austria's three main airports - Vienna, Linz and Graz. This gives us quick access to all airlines, customs and handling agents, enabling us to offer reliable transport solutions for your shipments.

Vienna International Airport (VIE) is the most important air freight hub in Austria, handling approximately 300,000 tonnes of cargo per year. In addition to Austrian Airlines' intercontinental services, direct flights from major carriers in the Middle East and Asia provide excellent global connections. Its central location, combined with high-frequency road feeder services to all airports in the region, makes it one of the most important gateways to Central and Eastern Europe. Vienna has excellent infrastructure including GDP certified pharmaceutical warehousing.

Linz Airport (LNZ) is located in the heart of Austria's most important industrial region. With an annual cargo throughput of 50,000 tonnes, Linz is significantly smaller but offers excellent connections to Vienna and all European mega-hubs via an excellent road feeder network. This is complemented by several weekly cargo-only flights operated by Turkish Airlines.

Graz Airport (GRZ) is important for industry in the south of Austria. It is home to the automotive cluster, as well as major high-tech and pharmaceutical companies. The connection to the international air transport network to the hubs of the region is almost exclusively provided by the road feeder services of the airlines.

We operate our own logistics hubs in Innsbruck and Salzburg, which also support air cargo services in Vienna, Linz and Graz.

Austria is a landlocked country located in the heart of Europe. Due to its central location, Austria benefits from a wide range of options. The highly developed intermodal infrastructure between seaports and hinterland locations enables customized solutions tailored to the specific needs of each supply chain. In-depth knowledge of the ever-changing ocean freight markets is the key to success and allows for a high level of service to local and overseas customers.

The Port of Hamburg is the most important port for Austria, followed by Bremerhaven. These German ports are crucial hubs for Austrian exports and imports and with direct shipping connections to all major ports worldwide. More than 80 weekly block train connections to Austrian hinterland depots complete this strong offer.

The ports of Koper and Trieste handle a significant share of cargo, making this region the second most important for goods entering or leaving the country. Both ports are well connected to the Austrian rail network and offer the shortest transit times to the Far East, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and the Middle East.

Rotterdam and Antwerp play a minor role compared to the other ports due to the lower number of rail connections and higher transportation costs. Nevertheless, their geographical location offers a possible alternative for Austrian freight traffic.
